   Hits your PM tool API for milestones tagged 'ready to invoice'. Works with Asana custom fields, ClickUp statuses, Monday columns, or Notion properties.

   Split Milestones

   Iterates per milestone so the rest of the workflow runs once per invoice.

   Create Invoice in QuickBooks

   Builds the invoice with line items, customer ref, due date. Stripe Invoicing, Xero, FreshBooks all use the same shape. swap URL and field names.

   Send Invoice Email — Gmail

   Emails the client with the invoice description, amount, and a 14-day due note.

   Wait 7 Days

   Pauses the workflow. n8n persists state. no cron juggling needed.

   Check Invoice Status

   Re-fetches the invoice to see if the balance is still owed. If the client paid, the workflow ends and Slack gets a 'paid' notification.

   AR Follow-Up Email

   If still unpaid, sends a friendly nudge. Extend with additional Wait + Email nodes for 14-day, 30-day, then a final escalation Slack alert to the owner.
