   Runs Monday through Friday so reminders go out the afternoon before each appointment day. Cron expression: 0 16 * * 1-5. Easy to change to whatever cadence your front desk uses.

   Sample Appointment Data (replace this)

   The template ships with two sample appointments so it runs out of the box. Replace this node with an HTTP Request to your dental software's API, or a webhook that Eaglesoft/Dentrix fires when an appointment is booked.

   Split Appointments

   Iterates through each appointment so the rest of the workflow runs once per patient. n8n handles the loop automatically.

   Generate Reminder Text — OpenAI

   Uses gpt-4o-mini to write a single warm, professional SMS under 160 characters. The prompt references your practice name, the patient's first name, the appointment time, and the procedure. Costs about $0.0001 per message.

   Send SMS Reminder — Twilio

   Sends the generated message to the patient's phone from your verified Twilio number. Replace the placeholder from number with yours.

   Log Result

   Captures who got the message, what was sent, and when. Swap this for a Google Sheets append, an Airtable create, or an HTTP request to your CRM if you want centralized reporting.
